About MN.DCD Mailing List

Welcome to our Minnesota Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) mailing list for educational professionals.

This mailing list is our effort to increase statewide collaboration by learning from each other as we teach and support students with DCD. It is our hope that this method of communication will continue to be a resource that is valued and used by all of us across Minnesota.

If you have a question to ask or knowledge/information to share, our mailing list is available for you to use. You are part of a large community of educational staff with various experience and expertise in DCD.

By using our mailing list, you will be able to post your own questions and/or view other messages. You can respond with ideas to help answer colleagues' questions, or benefit from our colleagues' information/suggestions.

Open communication is essential in staying current with promising and evidence-based practices. Our collaboration increases our knowledge/expertise in the field of DCD.

Information posted is not considered official policy or recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and/or local educational agencies/districts.

Helpful hints

Our list is an open list, which means no one is screening what is sent out. There are potentially 1,000 licensed staff, plus others with an interest about DCD. This does include parents and advocates.

Please follow ethical standards, legal data privacy policies, and honoring/respecting confidentiality.

Please do not use personal information that might be used to identify an individual and/or a district.

Sales or fundraising is not appropriate on the list, nor is advocating for a political agenda.

Messages are more accessible in plain text or sans-serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Calibri).

To send an email message to all the other educators on the DCD mailing list, address the "To" line to:, compose your message, and then "Send". Please use your name/contact information in all your correspondence.

Post information that is specific to DCD.

When you reply to a message, carefully consider whether you want to "Reply to all" (the entire mailing list) or only to the sender of the message "Reply".

If you are aware of others who want to be added, have them contact Garrett Petrie at

To unsubscribe, please follow instructions at the bottom of emails or see "Unsubscribe & Password Reminders" section above.
