HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Football season is here!  College football has started, and NFL’s regular
season is right around the corner.  Oaken Barrel’s annual Fantasy Football
will start, and the sheets will be out on Monday, September 7th.  It is a
weekly contest with a chance to win $100, and a chance to win a playoff at
the end of season with prize of $250.  And of course, the bragging rights.
 There is no cost to enter.  Good luck everyone!

We have a new beer on tap, the American Wheat.  American Wheat is a beer
style created by American brewers, where traditional wheat beer is infused
with abundance of Citra hops.  Three Floyd’s “Gumball Head” is an example
of the American Wheat.  Come taste one for yourself.

Oaken Barrel will be at the German-American Club’s Oktoberfest from
September 10 through 14th.  We will be tapping our fall seasonal beer, the
“Oaktoberfest”.  Along with the Oaktoberfest, we will feature our King
Rudi Hefeweizen, and of course our house beers.  Please join us for this
great annual Southside event.
